I enjoyed this reflection and reminder, and I think your quiet Thanksgiving sounds lovely, too! I am grateful to have family who are flexible and enjoy being together in any way that works. We had a small gathering at our house for one side of the family, with all the fixings but low stress, and then drove out to celebrate with my parents later in the weekend. By the time we met, my mom & I were both tired of cooking, so we decided to order Mexican takeout and we were all very happy with that!
