Everything you always wanted to know about conservatorships but didn’t know who to ask...
You are cordially invited to join KIRC for our second Sunday Coffee Chat & Support Hour.
It's happening this Sunday, February 6, 2022
@10 AM - 11 AM /Pacific - 1 PM - 2 PM/Eastern
Keeping it REAL Caregiving is going LIVE with a special guest; streaming on Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube. This is your chance to ask questions and learn!!
Don't miss this one
I’ll be joined by Lisa J. Fanos.
She is a professional Paralegal/Legal Assistant and has worked in this field for 45 years with a focus on estate planning.
But, Fanos also focusing on conservatorships, spending 19-years of her career navigating this arena.
Had it not been for the star-studded legal battle that swirled around pop superstar Britney Spears the past several years, many of us may not have ever even heard of conservatorships. I'll admit, I know very little about how it all works, so I'm excited for this LIVE EVENT!
There was also a popular (albeit disturbing) movie which brought attention to this legal arena. Maybe you saw the movie, “I Care a Lot,” which told the story of unscrupulous individuals targeting the elderly.
So what exactly do we all need to know about conservatorships?
What is this legal framework?
Who is it for?
How can it help families?
And what research should we consider doing well in advance of needing such protection?
I asked Fanos the importance of more of us understanding this legal landscape.
“One of our most vulnerable communities in society are our elders. We have many people who look out for children, but who is keeping watch to protect our seniors? We need to be much more vigilant in protecting them.”
SAVE THE DATE
I hope you’ll join us!
