Are you a caregiver for an individual with dementia? Researchers are looking for you
Finding Ease in Caregiving Program
Hello KIRC fam!
One of the great aspects of our platform and growing tribe, is being able to connect, share, and lend assistance to one another.
If you or someone you know is caring for someone with dementia, there is a new program you might be interested in learning more about.
I would like to thank my friend and colleague serving on the Equity in Aging Advisory Committee for the California Department of Aging; Master Plan for Aging, David “Jax” Kelly, President at Let's Kick ASS (AIDS Survivor Syndrome) Palm Springs, for bringing this program to our attention.
Finding Ease in Caregiving Program
Hello!
We are recruiting participants for our Finding Ease in Caregiving Program. We are recruiting caregivers for individuals living with dementia.Under the direction of Professor Robert Kaplan and Dr. Aaron Guest at Arizona State University, the Finding Ease in Caregiving Program aims to reduce the stress associated with caregiving and provide caregivers with new resources to face the challenges of caregiving.
The program is virtual and delivered on Zoom. Each class meets for 1 hour a week for 8 weeks. Participants are asked to complete three surveys during the program and have the opportunity to earn up to $90 for their participation.
We are happy to answer questions. We have attached a flyer with more details and information about eligibility.
Thanks so much for your assistance!

Another reminder - Keeping It REAL Caregiving is now a part of a larger, statewide California organization, the California Coalition on Family Caregiving.
Our work is an ‘evolving work in progress’ and in the coming weeks I will share more about the KIRC role, and some dates for an upcoming virtual event.
Thank you for the continued support and… WELCOME to our new subscribers! Feel free to share our newsletter with others, leave a comment with ideas, suggestions, and of course, we’d love to hear from you as a Guest Essayist!
